Getting Started

Poliris is the platform that gets your brand picked by AI. When people ask ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity "what's the best…?", only a few brands get recommended, Poliris helps make sure yours is one of them.

  • Brands & marketers who want to be mentioned by AI.
  • SEO & GEO specialists who want one place to run audits.
  • Agencies that manage many clients.
  • Content teams who want AI-assisted drafts without sacrificing quality.

Poliris walks you through a 5-step onboarding wizard: sign-up to your first audit result in about 5 minutes.

  • 1. Sign in.
  • 2. Paste your URL so Poliris auto-detects your brand.
  • 3. Answer four optional questions to tailor the dashboard.
  • 4. Select the products to track.
  • 5. Choose your LLMs, categories, and trading zone, then click Start analysis.
All settings can be edited later under Settings.

A Product is something your brand sells, the thing Poliris looks for in AI answers.

  • Auto-detected Poliris detects your Products from your website during onboarding.
  • Tracked in parallel follow multiple products at once.
  • Scored independently each Product gets its own GEO Audit with independent visibility and sentiment scores.
Add, remove, or re-prioritize Products anytime from Settings › Products.

A Trading Zone is the country or region where you sell, for example, United States, France, or Japan. AI answers vary significantly from zone to zone, so the Trading Zone tells Poliris where to look when running your audit. Different markets have different leading AI platforms and different perceptions of your brand.

Tracking multiple Trading Zones lets you spot regional gaps and opportunities.

A Category is one of the perception dimensions Poliris scores your brand on, topics your customers actually care about, like Customer Experience, Innovation and Technology, Quality and Performance, or Value and Pricing.

  • Auto-suggested Poliris suggests the best four to six Categories based on your detected product.
  • Choose by positioning pick Categories that match your positioning, not just your features.
The right four to six save you from chasing metrics that don't reflect what customers actually care about.

A Scoping Audit is a quick, initial overview delivered within 24 hours. It is designed to show you where you currently stand and help you decide if a deeper dive is necessary. It covers:

  • Visibility Ranking: Your current standing against top competitors in AI engine responses.
  • Sentiment Qualifiers: The top descriptive terms AI models use when discussing your brand.
  • LLM Accessibility Status: A check on how easily Large Language Models can discover and parse your content.

A Full Audit is a comprehensive, in-depth analysis designed to give you an exact, step-by-step roadmap for optimization. The timeline is tailored to your website's scope. It covers:

  • Multi-LLM Analysis: How your brand performs across various AI engines (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini).
  • Brand Perception Radar: A detailed breakdown of your brand's AI-perceived strengths, weaknesses, and sentiment gaps.
  • Access, Structure, & Content Evaluation: A deep technical and structural audit of your high-priority pages.
  • Structured GEO Action Plan: A concrete strategy outlining exactly what to optimize to improve your AI visibility and citations.
Use the Scoping Audit to decide where to go; use the Full Audit to decide exactly what to do.

GEO Audit

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimization, all techniques aimed at optimizing a brand's presence in responses generated by AI engines.

  • GEO targets the AI-generated answers that are replacing classic search results.
  • SEO targets traditional search engine ranking.
In practice, that means optimizing your content, site structure, and reputation signals so AI can find you, cite you accurately, and represent you faithfully.

Poliris analyzes visibility on the main general-purpose AI engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Mistral, Grok, and Deepseek.

  • Web-interface LLMs browse live sources, showing what the web currently shows.
  • API LLMs reflect the model's training data, showing what it believes.
Poliris does not audit specialized or vertical AI assistants.

The Product Overview is the at-a-glance landing page for any product you track. It combines your core GEO signals into a single dashboard:

  • Global Score: A high-level percentage performance rating combining your overall Visibility and Sentiment.
  • AI Visibility & Brand Sentiment: The two primary sub-scores feeding the global number - Visibility scored out of 100, and Sentiment rated from Very Weak to Very Strong.
  • Competitive Position: Your current rank among all tracked competitors in your space.
  • Evolution Chart: A historical trend line tracking your performance over time.
  • Visibility Analysis: A card showing how often your product appears in AI answers, including your average score, average rank position, a trend indicator, and a platform-by-platform percentage breakdown.
  • Position vs. Competitors Matrix: A four-quadrant chart plotting your brand against competitors based on visibility vs. sentiment.
  • Sentiment Analysis: A detailed breakdown of how AI engines describe your product based on key criteria like Availability, Expertise, and Flexibility.
  • Target Audience: The specific demographic groups that AI platforms most strongly associate with your product.
  • Competitor Momentum: A tracker showing how nearby competitors are trending compared to your last analysis run.
  • Recommended Actions: A prioritized list of high-, medium-, and low-impact tasks derived from your audit data.
Start every session here. Drill into the dedicated Visibility, Sentiment, or Recommendations tabs when you need to investigate specific shifts in your data.

Poliris builds a targeted set of representative test queries tailored to your market - spanning brand queries, product/service queries, and specific customer pain points. The platform evaluates these queries across major LLMs, consolidating the data into actionable insights:

  • Visibility Rankings: Benchmarks your brand's performance directly against your core competitors.
  • Explicit Gaps: Maps visibility deficits by specific product, category, and individual AI engine.
  • Source Intelligence: Identifies exactly which websites the AI is sourcing to generate answers in your category, tracking your citation frequency.
The Visibility Audit displays an overall visibility score, a competitive position rank, a per-LLM breakdown, and a Prompt Explorer that surfaces every underlying AI question and response.

Poliris analyzes AI engine responses to extract key attributes, highlighted strengths, weaknesses, and positioning gaps associated with your brand. These indicators are aggregated and contextualized to help you correct outdated data or incomplete perceptions, while providing the evidence needed to emphasize your strengths.

The Sentiment Audit visualizes these insights through two distinct lenses:

  • Web Analysis: How third-party web content describes your brand.
  • Model Analysis: How AI models directly describe your brand in native responses.

Within the dashboard, your results are broken down across a 5-tier sentiment scale (Very Weak, Weak, Moderate, Strong, and Very Strong) and tracked across four AI coverage dimensions:

  • Positive: Strong positive recommendations and citations.
  • Neutral: Neutral visibility or basic brand inclusion.
  • Not mentioned: Gaps where your brand is completely omitted from relevant prompts.
  • Negative: Highlighted weaknesses, risks, or negative sentiment.

Requests and Prompts work together but aren't the same thing.

  • Request a question you want Poliris to ask the AI, usually written the way a real customer would type it.
  • Request Prompt the behind-the-scenes template Poliris uses to deliver that question to an LLM in a structured, consistent way.
During setup, prioritize high-traffic prompts, they have the biggest impact on your visibility scores.

When an AI model answers a question, it visits live web sources and uses what it finds to build the response. Source Intelligence shows you where those visits are happening for prompts about your category, and how often your website is among the pages cited.

  • Source count total source count and a concentration label.
  • Breakdown by type Your Site, Retail, Industry, Social, Blog, Media, Academic.
  • Top cited websites the pages AI actually relies on most.

After a GEO Analysis, you receive a concrete, prioritized roadmap, not just abstract scores. The action plan is generated directly from the deep-dive analysis across the four primary areas of your GEO dashboard:

  • Overview: We compile your overall AI visibility score, tracking how often major engines mention or recommend your brand versus remaining silent, establishing a clear competitive benchmark.
  • Prompt & Model Mapping (Visibility Data): We break down your performance prompt by prompt and model by model across ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overview, and others. The action plan identifies the exact forensic gaps, where you are cited but not recommended, and which high-value questions are ignoring your brand entirely.
  • Topic-by-Topic Sentiment Alignment: The plan addresses how AI engines perceive your brand across the custom trust dimensions (Topics) and brand values you configured for your audit. If the data shows high visibility but weak recommendation rates, the plan targets the specific sentiment topics that need reinforcing to turn mentions into active recommendations.
  • Gap-Driven Recommendations: Located in your Recommendations tab, every action card is generated directly from a detected gap, a prompt where you are silent, a topic where you are weak, or a competitor outranking you on a specific theme.

What Each Action Card Delivers: Rather than generic best practices, each prioritized recommendation (High / Medium / Low priority) explicitly breaks down:

  • The Root Cause: Why the gap exists (the specific prompt, topic, or LLM model).
  • The Content Fix: What to build, restructure, or optimize to match LLM training patterns and user intent.
  • Interactive Guidance: Each card links directly to a Poli AI conversation for deeper, step-by-step guidance on how to execute the optimization.

Executive Deliverables: Full audits also deliver a comprehensive presentation report (PDF and/or slides), a hands-on feedback workshop with your teams, and options for ongoing monthly monitoring via your updated dashboard.

The net result is a complete, actionable blueprint grounded entirely in what the LLMs actually say about you, allowing you to systematically close your visibility gaps in the "AI answer layer."

Poliris operates worldwide, allowing you to track your brand's AI footprint across global markets. Currently, the platform supports English and French across all features, including your dashboard audits, workspace configurations, and content generation tools.

During setup in your Workspace Settings, you can choose your specific Trading Zones to monitor how the most popular AI engines in your target regions answer questions about your business. We are actively working on adding more international languages and markets soon to support your global growth.

Poliris recommends a 4-step weekly workflow that takes 30–45 minutes:

  • Read the headlines on Product Overview, noting changes in Visibility, Sentiment, and overall GEO score.
  • Find the priority Category where Visibility and Sentiment both surface the same gap.
  • Pull the evidence matching technical evidence in Page Explorer, sorted by severity.
  • Hand off use Prompt Explorer to grab full AI answers and cited sources, then ship one focused brief to content, PR, and dev teams.

Technical Audit

The Technical Audit executes a comprehensive suite of site- and page-level tests across three core health stages, optimizing your site for both traditional search engine crawlers and modern AI engines:

  • Page Access (Can crawlers and AI reach your pages?): Validates reachability, status codes, redirects, robots.txt rules, and load speeds to ensure search engines and AI bots can seamlessly crawl your site.
  • Content Access (Can crawlers and AI read your content?): Inspects metadata, schema markup, heading structures, image alt text, hreflang tags, and Open Graph tags so algorithms can properly parse and understand your data.
  • Content Quality (Is your content well-structured?): Analyzes word counts, readability metrics, unique content signals, and page depth logic to ensure your pages provide high-value, rankable substance for both SEO and generative answers.
Every test automatically calculates an Impact score based on its combined severity and priority levels, helping you focus on the most critical issues first. The Site Overview then synthesizes these results into a single Overall Health Score out of 100%.

Poliris categorizes issues into three Impact levels to help you prioritize your technical fixes based on how heavily they affect search engine crawlers and AI bots:

  • Critical: High-urgency issues that actively block or severely disrupt crawlers and AI from reaching, reading, or accurately processing your core pages (e.g., broken internal links, severe server errors, or misconfigured crawl directives). These should be fixed immediately.
  • Warning: Mid-tier issues that degrade performance, indexing efficiency, or content structure without completely blocking access (e.g., missing image alt text, suboptimal heading structures, or missing schema markup). These should be scheduled for remediation soon.
  • Notice: Minor technical recommendations, structural optimizations, and opportunities for polish (e.g., low word counts or slight readability adjustments). These do not harm your health score significantly but help perfect your site for ultimate visibility.
Behind the scenes, Poliris automatically determines these Impact levels by combining the technical severity of the underlying issue with its specific priority level within our testing framework. This ensures your action cards always reflect the true, absolute priority for your business without cluttering your dashboard with confusing backend metrics.

The Page Explorer lets you drill from site-level scores down to any individual URL.

  • Per-page health a meta strip, Site Health Pipeline with a Bottleneck chip, and Top Issues.
  • AI crawler access which AI systems are allowed or blocked on that page.
  • Performance Health Score Evolution and Page Speed Insights with Core Web Vitals.
Connected Services cards from Google Search Console and Analytics appear too, if connected.

AI systems can only describe pages they've been allowed to read. Blocking even one major crawler, often unintentionally via a generic robots.txt rule, takes you out of that model's answers entirely.

This is a quiet way to lose AI visibility that would never appear in classic search reports. Poliris's Page Explorer shows per-page AI crawler access status for Mistral, ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Grok.

The Technical Audit and GEO Audit are most valuable when read side by side. Each one explains the other:

  • Technical → GEO Schema, speed, internal links, and crawlability set the upper bound of your Visibility and Sentiment scores. What you fix changes what AI can say.
  • GEO → Technical A weak Visibility Category points you straight at the URLs that need attention. Negative Sentiment points at pages that need stronger evidence, schema, or counter-narrative content.
A great GEO score with a broken site is fragile. A perfect Technical score with no AI visibility is invisible.

Poli Agent & Content

Poli Agent is your Poliris assistant, a helpful teammate who knows every corner of the platform and can do work for you on command.

  • Answer & summarize answers questions about your dashboards and summarizes long reports into a two-line briefing.
  • Act runs an audit with one sentence, suggests next actions, and executes them if you approve.
  • Draft writes messages to your team based on the latest audit.
Poli Agent also powers the Poli AI Insight banners throughout the platform and is available on every plan.

Content Generation is Poliris's writing room. You pick a topic and Poliris drafts the page for you, shaped by what it already learned in your GEO and Technical audits, good for landing pages, blog posts, FAQ sections, and product descriptions.

  • Edit a full draft you can edit inside Poliris.
  • Download as Word, Markdown, or HTML.
  • Publish in one click to WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify.
Always read the draft before you publish.

The Poli AI Insight is a blue banner that appears at the top of Visibility Audit, Sentiment Audit, and Issues tabs. It reads your live data and writes a two-sentence strategic summary:

  • Sentence 1 highlights the most important gap or strength in your current data.
  • Sentence 2 gives one clear, high-leverage action you can take right now.
Use the refresh icon to regenerate it at any time.

Yes, on a B2B2B basis. Poliris co-builds GEO action plans with partners, SEO agencies, integrators, internal web teams, translating GEO insights into concrete actions and accelerating execution by relying on teams already in place rather than replacing them.

For agencies managing multiple brands, the platform includes dedicated Clients and Prospect Clients management, per-client branding, and a Prospect credit pool for pitches.

Admin & Team

Poliris has four roles, each with a different scope of access:

  • Owner everything, billing, deleting the org, all settings.
  • Admin all workspace settings, members, clients, integrations.
  • Editor create audits, edit Products, edit Prompts, publish content.
  • Viewer read dashboards and reports, can't change anything.
Only users with Admin or Owner roles can access the Administrator Settings panels.

Organizations and Workspaces sit at different levels of your account:

  • Organization your top-level Poliris account, holds your branding, members, billing, and clients. Essentially your company's account.
  • Workspace one project inside your Organization, usually one brand or one client. Controls which Products to track, which LLMs to query, and which Prompts to run.
For agencies, each Client gets its own Workspace.

Prospect Clients is the "pitch shelf", for brands you don't work with yet.

  • Pitch run a light audit on a Prospect to show them what their GEO score looks like today.
  • Convert turn them into a real Client with one click when the deal closes.
Prospect audits use their own dedicated, reduced credit pool, so you can run lots of pitches without burning your monthly budget.

Under Settings › Prompts, admins can manage every prompt Poliris uses.

  • Edit the system prompt used for GEO queries, or the prompt used to write content drafts.
  • Add custom prompts for recurring tasks.
  • Reset any prompt back to the Poliris default.
Editing system prompts can change how every audit behaves, test a change on one Workspace before rolling it out to all Clients.

Logs is the black-box recorder of your account. Every meaningful action, who ran an audit, who edited a Prompt, who invited a member, shows up here with a timestamp. Use it for debugging, compliance reviews, tracing a change, and investigating unusual credit spikes.

Log retention is 7 days on Starter, 30 days on Growth, and 1 year (with CSV export) on Scale.

Plans & Billing

Poliris offers three subscription tiers:

  • Starter entry-level, with 7-day log retention.
  • Growth includes 30-day log retention and a dedicated Prospect Client credit pool.
  • Scale includes 1-year log retention with CSV export and a custom domain for hosted reports.
Plan details, renewal dates, and upgrade options are managed under Settings › Billing.

Credits are consumed by LLM queries, technical scans, and content drafts.

  • Usage panel credits used vs. remaining by month, broken down by action type and by Client or Workspace, plus trend charts.
  • Top-ups buy credit packs from the Billing panel.
Set a usage alert at 80% so your team gets a heads-up before the monthly reset.

Poliris recommends a weekly cadence as the sweet spot:

  • Daily burns credits without adding much signal.
  • Weekly fresh data, catches fast competitor moves, aligns with a weekly review workflow.
  • Monthly may miss fast competitor moves or sudden visibility changes.
Schedule recurring GEO audits per Workspace, Product, or Zone, weekly technical scans, monthly content-draft batches, and alert emails on visibility drops, all from Settings › Scheduling.

Integrations

Poliris integrates with a range of tools to fit into your existing workflow:

  • Slack alerts when visibility changes or audits finish.
  • Google Search Console combines classic SEO with GEO, unlocks Clicks vs. Impressions and Top Queries in Page Explorer.
  • Google Analytics attribute traffic gains to Poliris actions.
  • WordPress / Webflow / Shopify publish content drafts in one click.
  • Zapier / webhooks & API pipe audit results to anything, or build custom dashboards.
Connecting both GSC and GA during onboarding earns you free trial days on the Technical Audit.

Yes. Under Settings › LLM Models, you can bring your own API key for each model or use Poliris's bundled access.

  • On/off turn a model on or off for your Workspace.
  • Version select the model version (e.g., GPT-4o vs. GPT-4.1).
  • Temperature set how creative vs. predictable responses are.
Turn on the models your customers actually use, and turn off ones that only add noise to your reports.
